在纽约想要外出旅游是很方便的。到了美国的东部,若不去首都华盛顿一游未免有些遗憾,于是我与一位同胞结伴参加了一个由华人办的周未华盛顿旅游团。可惜我们很外行,事先没考虑到周未政府机关各部门,如白宫、国会等全都关门休息。而旅游车则不管,仍按往日惯例,依次在每个参观景点停站下车20分钟。我们在白宫从前门逛到后门,只能隔着栅栏朝美国总统官邸
