In the 1970s, Amsterdam’s first subway line - one of the planned five lines - was completed. In the next ten years, the operation of the line was very successful. During that period the other four lines were abandoned. Due to the dramatic increase in traffic problems, the possibility of building other routes was reopened. This possibility includes the construction of a “quasi-metro” line that starts in the north of Amsterdam, passes the River Ee and the Old City, and ends in a new suburb in the western part of the Old City. This article discusses some of the technical methods and conclusions of this quasi-metro line, Jiao Sheng is the underground part of the river under the river and the old city.
