Pancreatic cancer is one of the poorly-prognosed tumors. The average survival time after diagnosis is only about 5 months, and its incidence is increasing year by year. At present, 10 out of 10 million people in Western countries die of pancreatic cancer each year, ranking fourth and fifth among common cancer deaths. The occurrence of pancreatic cancer is associated with a variety of genetic changes. The study of the changes of growth factors, their receptors, and their related genes to explore the occurrence and development of this cancer will be helpful for clinical diagnosis and treatment, especially for the discovery of early pancreatic cancer. This article reviews recent studies on pancreatic cancer-related genes. 1 Genes related to growth factors and receptors
