Chinese Geographical Society hydrological professional conference held in Fuzhou by the end of March. There were 100 representatives of relevant scientific research institutes affiliated to the Chinese Academy of Sciences, institutes of higher learning, the Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources, and about 150 papers submitted. The meeting held discussions and exchanges on water cycle and water balance, district hydrology, water resources and environmental hydrology.
