Designed by G. Callegno, a well-known local architect, this 1970’s house is superbly located on a hilltop overlooking the city. An artificial slope raised the house so that it would not naturally dominate the landscape. This house is not ugly, but it does not look good either. The purpose of the renovation is to minimize the existing skin of the building: the roof is reconstructed with corrugated metal, the facade covered with traditional insulation and all the changes are as neutral as possible. The design focuses on the spacious underground garage and storage space.
