随着雷达技术的发展,对雷达天线结构型式也提出了更高的要求,希望雷达天线既能满足使用的精度要求,又要在整架和运输时机动性好、装拆轻便。非金属天线(俗称塑料天线)与金属天线相比,有重量轻、整架较方便的优点。一般塑料天线由于塑料材料弹性模量比金属材料低(铝材弹性模量为7×10~5公斤/厘米~2左右,玻璃钢弹性模量为1.5×10~5公斤/厘米~2左右),为了充分发挥塑料特点,扬长避短,多数采用夹层结构型式来提高结构刚度。
