六十多年来,真空管对最难对付的很多技术问题已经提供了最有效的解决办法。如今,它们仍然在广泛使用。尽管出现了固体器件,但真空管仍然支配着很多应用。其中之一是微光成象和光增强。象增强器虽然也可以把光转换成电信号,但它们主要是用于增强光信号。固体器件一般不能增强光信号。在固体光电探测器中,只有雪崩二极管能产生佶号增强,但是,它们的尺寸小,限制了在成象方面的应用。
For over 60 years, vacuum tubes have provided the most effective solution to many of the most difficult technical problems. They are still widely used today. Despite the appearance of solid devices, vacuum tubes still dominate many applications. One of them is glimmering and light enhancement. Image intensifiers can convert light into electrical signals, but they are mainly used to enhance optical signals. Solid devices generally do not enhance the optical signal. In solid-state photodetectors, only avalanche diodes can produce sign enhancements, however, their small size limits the imaging applications.
