我国民族弓弦乐有着悠久的历史,雷琴是其中很年轻的一员,它的历史不足百年,全国会演奏的也不足百人,专业演奏家更是屈指可数。雷琴是由山东杰出的民间音乐家王殿玉先生(1899—1964,自幼失明)于1920年左右,为模仿人声歌唱,在山东坠琴的基础上加长琴杆加大琴筒发展而成。雷琴最主要的特点是能模仿人声唱戏、唱歌以及生活中和自然界的许多音响。 China’s national bow strings have a long history.
