初中物理课本第六章关于物体浮沉条件是由下面现象引出的:“既然物体在液体中都受到浮力,那么为什么木块能浮在水面上,而铁块在水里却下沉呢?钢板在水里会下沉,而用钢板制成的轮船和舰艇却能浮在水面上呢?”由此分析浸没在液体中的物体的受力情况,从而得出浮沉条件。可浮沉条件的前提条件是:浸没在液体中的物体。而前面所说的轮船和舰艇,却并不满足此条件,教材上的实例与结论不相符合;后面的实验:
