According to the Science Policy Outlook magazine, the UK recently released its awaited “Progress Report of the Steering Group on Co-operation in Technology Forecasting Plans.” This is one of the first goals of the Forecast Plan. It does not intend to predict in detail the specific events and developments in the next 10-20 years, but tries to find out the way forward for future development in preparation for the long-term plan. The report details many of the conclusions reached by the 15 sectoral task forces and provides important issues and suggestions in various sectors.
