A new method for the generation of orthogonal body fitted grids is presented in this paper. The positions of boundary points in the physical domain are adjusted to obtain orthogonal curvilinear grids without changing the value of %ξ% and %η% during the numerical process. The densities of %ξ% and %η% are given in advance. Good results were achieved in the application of this method on the cooling system of an internal combustion engine and a trail duct.
