Historically, Huizhou was a typical clan society. As one of the important symbols of clan society, the compilation and publication of genealogies have enjoyed unprecedented prosperity. Only the Ming Dynasty genealogies, which belong to the major collection institutions in mainland China, occupy more than three quarters of the Huizhou area. So how is the compilation organization of Huizhou genealogy established and how its various systems such as printing, printing and tabooing are formulated and implemented? Because of the lack of research on these most basic problems, it directly restricts our discussion of Huizhou clan society Further in-depth. Based on the compilation, printing, printing and tabooing of Huizhou genealogies in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, this article attempts to deeply understand and study systematically the genealogies and clan systems of Huizhou during the Ming and Qing Dynasties through the discussion of these basic issues.
