Objective To observe the clinical effect of type 2 diabetes mellitus combined with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and to analyze its related evoked factors. Methods 120 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, 60 patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease as study group and 60 patients with simple type 2 diabetes as control group. The control group received oral administration of glimepiride. The study group was given comprehensive treatment on the basis of the control group, and restricted daily intake of salt, sugar and fat, while given a small dose of aspirin. The clinical data of the two groups were retrospectively analyzed to summarize the related factors of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Results The smoking history, the history of addicted meat consumption, the history of addictive sweets and the incidence of hypoglycemia in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups (P> 0.05). Conclusions Factors such as smoking, addictive consumption, addictive sweets and hypoglycemia are all the relevant factors of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in patients with type 2 diabetes, and the targeted medical treatment can effectively control the progression of patients.
