Due to its high frequency, high unit photon energy and “particle” characteristics, UV light limits its application on the one hand and makes it unique to visible light and infrared light on the other hand. As the world’s largest military power, the United States has done a great deal of basic theoretical and technical research on the application of ultraviolet light in military engineering and has published numerous papers and reports. This article reviews more than 100 retrieved articles and summarizes the research on UV technology in the United States
