Xiangliang You Nuoliang 1 is a new hybrid glutinous rice sorghum cultivated by Sorghum Research and Development Center of Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It was certified by Hunan Provincial Variety Approval Committee in 1996 and won the fourth prize of National Invention in 1999. In 1996, Zhuji City, Zhejiang Province, from the introduction of agricultural planting in the early success of the city planted in 1999 up to 3,000 acres, an increase of 1.5 million kg of sorghum; in 2000 expanded to 8000 acres, accounting for the city’s sorghum cultivation
