根据1979年6月林业部发出“关于组织编写《中国森林》的通知”,我省林业厅于1980年春成立了《广东森林》编写领导小组,随后组成了《广东森林》编写委员会,组织华南农业大学,中山大学,华南师范大学,广东省林业厅、林业科学研究所、林业调查设计院等单位的专家、教授、工程师及科技人员参加编写。由于编写人员都是兼职的,加上本职工作繁重,编写开创性的既是森林志又是森林学的《广东森林》,缺乏经验,虽然经过多年的努力,大部分稿件已经完成,但是尚需作多次修改,才能定稿。为了保质保量,编写好这本书,特请《中国森林》编委兼《广东森林》主编徐燕千教授撰写“怎样编写好《广东森林》”一文,供编写的同志们参考。

In order to ensure the quality and quantity, we have prepared this book and invited Professor Xu Yanqian, editorial board member of the ”China Forest“ and editor-in-chief of ”Guangdong Forest,“ to write ”How to Write a Good Guangdong Forest" for reference by our comrades.
