巍巍青山悼忠魂。坐落于紫金山北麓的南京抗日航空烈士公墓,苍松翠柏环绕。这里长眠着二战期间抗击侵华日军、捍卫中国领空的诸多烈士。南京抗日航空烈士公墓的牌坊、碑亭和祭堂,位于同一条中轴线上。公墓入口牌坊以钢筋混凝土建造,四楹三间,牌坊的上部为“白云滚滚、火光冲天”的造型,正面上方的横额阴刻“航空烈士公墓”六个大字。两侧立柱上,分别镌刻着何应钦题写的挽联一副:捍国
Towering Castle Peak Mourning loyal soul. Located in the northern foot of the Purple Mountain Anti-Japanese Air Martyrs Cemetery, surrounded by pines and cypresses. This is the place where many martyrs fighting the Japanese invasion during the Second World War and defending China’s airspace are sleeping. Nanjing Anti-Japanese Airlines Martyrs Cemetery archways, Beiting and Festival Hall, located in the same axis. The entrance of the cemetery is built of reinforced concrete. There are four four-story pagodas. The upper part of the archway is the shape of “white billowing clouds and flames”. The banners above the front face are engraved with the six characters “Air Martyrs Cemetery.” On both sides of the column, were engraved with Yingqin inscribed a couple of eleven: defend the country
