光学天文时纬仪器具有长期稳定性好,可监测地方铅垂线变化与测定的绝对性等优点。作者认为:这种仪器的原有使命(测定地球自转)虽会被现代新技术(甚长基线干涉、月球激光测距、卫星激光测距等)所取代,但它们可在地学研究中继续发挥作用,或独当一面,承担特有的测定任务,或作为其它手段的重要补充。本文试图通过总结与介绍一些具体研究成果来证明这种可能性,在对比分析的基础上,对其优势与前景也做了初步估计——可以在动态测地和监测地震活动性方面作出贡献。

This paper tries to prove this possibility by summarizing and introducing some specific research results. On the basis of comparative analysis, we also make preliminary estimates of its advantages and prospects - which can contribute to the dynamic geodetic and monitoring of seismicity.
