广东地处中国南端,自然资源丰富人民安居乐业,这片土地在近现代曾经引领了无数次先进的革命思潮,诞生了像孙中山这样改天换地的伟人,有着深厚的思想和文化底蕴。改革开放以来这片土地更加活跃,经过30年的发展已经成为中国经济的支柱省份,也汇聚了无数精英才智。但就是这同一片土地,在当代却屡屡被冠以文化沙漠之名,何也?广东的文化发展,尤其是舞台艺术的滞后已明显与经济发展不相匹配,多年来能够在全国打响的作品屈指可数,这不能不说是让人遗憾的事。

The land has led countless times of advanced revolutionary ideas in recent modern times. The great people who changed their land like Sun Yat-sen were born. They have profound ideas and cultural details. Since the reform and opening up, the land has become more active. However, this same piece of land is often called the name of the cultural desert in the contemporary era. Why? The cultural development in Guangdong, especially the lagging stage art, has obviously failed to match the economic development.
