原阳修防段今春为了解决深锥的困难,先后创造了活动球栏式、网式插杆和六轮式支架,使十公尺大锥锥探工作得以顺利进行。据三月十五日至三十一日的统计在锥探眼数二三、三八三个眼中发现隐患一九○个(合千分之八)比去年提高七倍(去年为千分之一),在一九○个隐患中,深度在堤面七公尺以下者一○三个(占百分之五十四强),这一改进与创造对于今后黄河锥探工作有着重要意义。另外在挖填工作上、摸洞工作上和在打锥头、接锥杆等工作上也有很多的创造,最近又在试用沿阳铲探试土质和泥浆灌洞,亦初步获得成效。但原阳所辖堤段背河大都高出地面十余公尺,一概使用十公尺长锥仍不能锥至堤根。因此仍有继续加长锥身的必要。再从其几年来的锥探的结果来看,六公尺以上的洞,今年仍继续发现,因此,关于锥探的密度和跑锥现象等问题还应作缜密的调查研究。六轮式支架虽然优点很多,一般的来说是解决了长锥深锥的问题,但目前还在在着在坦披上难以使用等缺点,尚须继续改进。这个缺点未克服前必须与活动球栏式或网式插杆结合使用。原阳段在灌浆试验工作中也作了很多努力和多次实验并已初步获知以水、淤土可沙土各三分之一和成泥浆灌入沙质洞中可以渗出大部水分,且与洞壁结合得密切,并且可以灌入细小而长的洞穴,试田中证明用洛阳铲能够检验土质及帮助灌浆,以上各项试验工作尚求得出最后结论,希望各地试验研究。
