石湾陶塑技艺主要分布在广东省佛山市禅城区石湾镇街道及周边地区,是在当地民众日常烧造陶器基础上发展起来的一种陶塑艺术遗存,于2006年5月20日经国务院批准被列入第一批国家级非物质文化遗产名录。石湾陶瓷烧造历史悠久,早在新石器时代晚期的贝丘遗址中即有陶器遗存,唐代出现大型窑场,两宋时期达到空前发展,而明清时期更是进入其鼎盛期。随着时间的推移,石湾陶塑不断成型,并在漫长的历史长河
Shiwan pottery is mainly distributed in the streets and surrounding areas of Shiwan Town, Chancheng District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. It is a kind of remains of pottery and plastic art which was developed on the basis of daily pottery made by local people.
