In connection with the conditions that most Chinese EFL students of pre-intermediate level are poor at reading,this essay aims at introducing some practical pre-reading activities to enhance students’ reading comprehension. After analyzing the reading models,reading process and concerned reading strategies,the essay presents a common reading problem among pre-intermediate students. As a solution,based on the rationales supporting the activities,the procedures and potential effects of some pre-reading activities are elaborated on.
