大江大河的截流,是水利枢纽施工过程中的关健问题之一。自六十年代以来,世界上截流的基本倾向是立堵法。而立堵截流中,当截流时的流量、落差等都很大的条件下,一般趋势是采用双戗堤立堵,甚至多战堤立堵或宽戗堤立堵法。仅从1975年前的各国截流的情况来看,使用双戗、多戗和宽戗堤截流的已占截流总数的1/6左右;而在高落差立堵(例如最终落差大于4米)截流中,双戗堤立堵截流的比例更高。因此,双戗堤立堵进占截流的研究,已愈来愈多地引起世界各国水利施工界的注意,
