China used to be the country most endangered by drugs. In the long and bright history of civilization in China, none of the commodities once used to shake the foundations of this ancient kingdom like opium and brought her untold disaster and shame. Despite the fact that after the founding of People’s Republic of China, we have maintained a record of non-toxic for nearly 30 years. However, up to the 21st century, drugs are still a major social problem that plagues China’s development, endangers social order and undermines the general public’s health. The shame of the former “sick man of East Asia”, the lessons learned from the blood of drug prohibition in the modern era, and the accelerating drug spread, the sharp increase in the number of drug abusers and the increasingly serious problem of drug crimes all tell us that we must not be taken lightly.
