委婉语是一种比较间接的方式来谈论不宜直言的人或事物。大学英语教学中的委婉语既反映出语言特征,也反映在和谐的环境里,教师和学生地位平等意识增强的现实。以语言学理论为指导,以非英语专业本科生英语教学为例,对大学英语教学中的委婉语的使用,从语用学理论、语用学策略和必要性三个方面进行研究,反映委婉语在教学及交际中的必要性。
Euphemism is a more indirect way to talk about people or things that should not be blunt. Euphemism in college English teaching not only reflects the characteristics of language, but also reflects the reality of the equal awareness of teachers and students in a harmonious environment. Taking the theory of linguistics as a guide, taking non-English majors’English teaching as an example, the author studies the use of euphemism in college English teaching from three aspects: pragmatics theory, pragmatic strategy and necessity, reflecting euphemism Necessity of language in teaching and communication.
