《不朽的失眠》是台湾女作家张晓风的一篇颇具韵味的小说,首次入选初中语文实验修订课本,编排为小说单元第五篇。在此文之前的第三单元里,学生已经学过《〈枫桥夜泊〉新解质疑》一文,所以对诗的意思与意境的理解应该都不成问题,故本课的教学重点并非在此;倒是它与前四篇小说有 “Immortal Insomnia” is a quite novel of the Taiwanese woman writer Zhang Xiaofeng.
