The authors analyzed 55 patients with idiopathic central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) who were hospitalized at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and found no previous malignancy in 7 patients (13%), 3 males and 4 females, The average age is 69 years old. Primary tumors were 1 case of colon cancer, 1 case of breast cancer, 2 cases of Hodgkin’s disease, 2 cases of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and 1 case of thyroid cancer.
