This chapter focuses on several major theoretical questions that challenge the minimum theory and initially respond. At first, by analyzing the relationship between the minimalism and the assertion, the author proposes that the minimalist interprets that the semantic theory should aim to provide an explanation of the meaning of the sentence rather than interpreting the intuitive judgment about the content of the speech act. Then, by elaborating on the three ways that the minimalism and psychology are related, the recognition of the relationship between the two is highlighted. That is to say, the semantics has a metaphysical dependence on the psychology arguments. On this basis, the author analyzes and refutes the main arguments of the interpretation of the minimum skepticism, such as “direct access ” “principle of accessibility ”, “truth conditional pragmatics ”. Finally, the author summarizes the consensus and disagreements between the theory of the smallest held by himself and the theories claimed to oppose it.
