龙魂水韵,江淮明珠车出扬州东行不远,第一站就是“现代水乡园林生态城市”——被称为“江淮明珠”的江都市。这里是唐代著名诗人、《春江花月夜》的作者张若虚的故乡。历代许多诗文书画大家如苏轼、秦观、怀素、米芾、赵子昂、孔尚任、朱自清、张恨水等等,都曾在这里留下过名篇佳作。这里出土的文物中,有万年前的鲸脊骨化石,6000至8000年前的雄麇鹿角化石,新石器晚期的骨、骨镖,战国时期的铜矛、铜戈,唐代的小石塔、窑庄银器,南宋的钱窑等等,是一块有悠久历史、古老文化、风景优美、人杰地灵的宝地。
