Under the embrace of the garden and ancient buildings, Wan Nai looks for the ancient and endangered Nantong woodcut pictures. Speaking of New Year Pictures, an endangered Chinese art heritage, studies show that there are only a dozen of New Year pictures available in China, of which only a dozen or two of the old artists in most areas print New Year paintings. In the past there was no “intangible cultural heritage ” this attribution protection. However, the art of the New Year’s paintings surviving all over the world is waiting for protection and tracing. The New Year pictures are produced by the private sector. However, those who rank themselves upright may not like the New Year pictures. Some people say that they are polite or cheesy but the traditional heritage of each painting is incalculable. It is the cultural meaning of our ancestors worthy of attention and inheritance. Some of them are stories of people and pictures of New Year paintings. Nantong as the core area close to Shanghai, but also one of the birthplace of endangered New Year pictures, to take this time to talk together.
