In the cross-cultural communication of world classics, no classics is comparable to the “moral classics”, which has been widely translated and disseminated, while there are still many problems of misinterpretation and misrepresentation. To solve this problem, we should not only explore it from the perspective of translatology and linguistics, but also examine issues such as the right to speak in cross-cultural communication from a historical and political perspective. It is necessary to go from the overall connotation and characteristics of Laozi’s philosophy Exquisite, but also from the “moral” in the core concepts for specific analysis. This article takes “Taoism and Nature ” as an example, and makes an effort to examine “Nature ” - how one of the core concepts in Laozi’s philosophy is mistranslated and misinterpreted by Western translators for the purpose of both To clarify the reason why the moral classics misinterpreted in the western tradition, and to find a feasible way for the intercultural communication and translation practice of the Chinese traditional classics.
