(i) The United States is a kind of folk dispelling algae. According to Zeng Chengkui and other scholars, he believed that it was the Chinese leeks recorded in ancient Chinese literature. As far back as the sixteenth century, it was first seen in the “Zhupu County Chronicle” and Zhao Xuemin later received the “Supplement to Compendium of Materia Medica”. Both books are intended to drive intestinal parasites in children. However, in recent decades, Japan’s seaweed scientist Endo Katsuragi has linked seagrass to the name of amaranth and established his scientific name as Digenea simplex (Wulf) C.Ag. Chinese and foreign scholars have followed suit. Caused chaos on the names of two kinds of seaweeds, leeks and seagrass. The original plant of “Jingcai” is actually the United States, and its scientific name is Caloglossaleprierii (Mont.) J. Ag., which belongs to the Rhodophyceae, Xiankongmu, and Delesseriaceae plants. Its shape is shown in the figure (see figure).
