In the spring of 1968, secondary school students in Beijing had gradually faded out of the fanatical “Cultural Revolution” politics. Under the environment and mentality of being neither bound nor academically challenged by the school, but also dazed and bored with the future, reading fiction and field excursions became Two important parts of life at the time.
