The overall consciousness within the colony is a prerequisite for the formation of the American nation. Through carefully studying relevant historical documents, the author examines and compares the facilitation of the overall sense of North America between Britain and France from the end of the “Seven Years War” to the French Revolution of 1978. Although the British government and the British people strongly opposed the North American independence movement, the enactment, enactment, wording of the British government decrees and indifference of the British people objectively stimulated the colonial sense of unity and independence. However, the French government and the French people enthusiastically supported the North American independence movement for historical reasons, strategic considerations and domestic social and cultural situations and shaped a brand new and unique image of the American nation in France and other parts of Europe. Therefore, the role of Britain is objective and indirect, and France’s role is to be direct and direct.
