Malondialdehyde (MDA) is an important marker of lipid peroxidation. This article studies the generation of oxygen free radicals and membrane lipid peroxidation induced by leukocytosis during ischemia / reperfusion period and its relationship with ischemic / reperfusion injury after cardiac surgery. Ten patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery were selected, with an average age of 66.7 years.
