油茶是我国主要木本食用油料作物之一,国家计划在北方发展核桃,在南方发展油茶,以满足人民对食油日益增长的需要。全国现有油茶5,300万亩,其中成林3,500万亩,第一个五年计划期间新造幼林1,800万亩,预计至1962年每年可产茶油3,600——5,400万担(每亩产油100——150斤),今后国家还计划在3——5年内陆续发展至12,000万亩,预计成林后每年可产茶油24,000万担(每亩产油200斤)。目前一般产量虽不高,1957年全国平均每亩产油7斤,1958年预计15斤,1959年要求30——40斤,但在工农业大跃进的形势下,全国各地已
