高等教育自学考试是我国改革开放以来教育制度的一项重要创新,是规模最大、最能体现终身教育理念与学习型社会特点的教育形式。江西省高等教育自学考试制度自1984年实施以来,全省自学考试累计培养毕业生17．5万人,在籍考生55万多人。从单一的学历考试发展成为多层次、多类型、多规格、多功能的教育考试制度,成为江西省高等教育和继续教育的重要组成部分,成为构建终身教育体系、建设学习型社会的一支重要力量。如同全国自学考试的曲折发展一样,江西自学考试同样遇到严峻的竞争和挑战,出现了考试规模缩小、报考人数下降的趋势。是在困难面前徘徊不前,还是在困难面前激流勇进?江西自考工作者果断地选择了后者。他们没有被困难吓倒,没有怨天尤人,更没有坐失良机。他们进一步解放思想、更新观念,主动适应经济和社会发展需求,在“环境、机制、质量、服务”四个方面实现跨越,使江西自考迎来了新的繁荣和可持续发展。优化环境,构建助考全新格局近年来,江西省从科教兴省、人才强省的战略高度,进一步重视和加强对自学考试工作的领导,加强机构和队伍建设,切实担负起自学考试改革与发展的责任,促进自学考试事业和其他教育工作的协调发展。他们进一步发挥主考学校的作用,让学校积极参与自考社会助学工作,开拓生源渠道。各高等院校也把开展自学考试工作作为一项为社会服务、为经济建设服务的重要任务,列入整体工作计划,加强领导,统筹安排,做好自学考试主考工作和社会助学等任务。到目前为止,江西自学考试主考学校已由前三年的10所发展到43所,极大地推动了自学考试的发展。省自考办还积极主动与政府及行业有关部门交流与沟通,加强协调配合,努力形成政府重视、部门协调、社会参与的发展自学考试的新格局,营造一个有利于自学考试发展的政策环境和舆论氛围。江西省在对待自学考试毕业生就业问题上做了大量工作,为自考毕业生进入人才市场创造良好的外部条件。2004年上半年,江西省自考办与省人事厅人才流动中心联合下发了《关于高等教育自学考试和学历文凭考试毕业生进入人才市场就业的实施意见》,增强了自考生的学习信心。 Self-study examination of higher education is an important innovation in the education system since the reform and opening up in our country.
