(一)受地区经济状况、资源禀赋差异以及区域性FDI政策的直接影响,长期以来台商在大陆投资主要集中于东部地区,投资金额约占大陆吸收台资总量的85%,中西部地区仅为15%。近年来,台商投资出现了悄然向中西部转移的趋势,2006年,台商对中西部投资的增幅约为30%左右,其中辽宁省、四川省及广西壮族自治区的投资分别增长195.9%、227.3%及950.0%。台商在中西部的投资领域已遍及制造业、IT产业、农产品深加工、旅游开发等诸多行业。
