魏晋时期的哲学思想对中国画产生了深刻的影响,顾恺之因而在绘画上提出了“以形写神”和“传神写照”的“传神论”。“以形写神”主要用于审美构思的写生与稿图准备阶段,以把握对象的形体为基础,力求抓住对象的传神特征。“传神写照”要求画家把握和体验艺术形象的神态,通过刻画“神”来表现艺术形象,从而达到“写照”的目的。从“以形写神”到“传神写照”是一种由审美构思活动进入审美创作活动的过程。“传神论”自提出后就被奉为中国人物画的创作宗旨,使中国人物画取得了极高的艺术成就。
The philosophical thoughts of the Wei and Jin Dynasties had a profound impact on Chinese painting. Therefore, Gu Kai-zhi put forward his “expressiveness” of “writing God” and “vivid portrayal” on the painting. “Describe God ” is mainly used for sketch writing stage and draft preparation stage of aesthetic conception. It seizes the object’s body as the foundation and strives to grasp the expressive characteristics of the object. “Vivid portrayal ” requires the artist to grasp and experience the demeanor of the artistic image, by depicting “God ” to express the artistic image, so as to achieve “portrayal ” purpose. From “to describe God ” to “expressive portrait ” is a process of aesthetic design activities into the aesthetic creation activities. Since its introduction, “Theory of God” has been regarded as the creative purpose of Chinese figure painting, which has made Chinese figure painting a very high artistic achievement.
