经过多年的建设,作为林浆纸一体化的龙头,位于洋浦的金海浆纸厂终于在今年3月28日正式投产了,这是我省迄今为止最大的外商投资项目,也是世界上最大的单一浆纸厂之一。根据协议,该厂还将建设160万吨造纸厂,使之最终建成亚洲最大浆纸加工基地。与金海纸浆厂的建设配套,在海南发展林浆纸一体化的战略构想中,全省桉树种植面积将达到350万亩。林浆纸一体化的产业延伸,对于经济总量不大的海南,经济上的拉动效应将是显而易见的。但是,近来围绕我省林浆纸一体化,尤其是各界对种植桉树的不同看法,引发了一场争议。桉树利弊究竟如何?规模化种植会不会给海南带来生态灾难?一时间,在沸沸扬扬的议论面前,人们不觉困惑迷惘,无所适从。“桉树消耗了过多的水分吗?”“桉树耗尽了土壤养分吗?”“桉树具有生化相克作用吗?”中国林学会桉树专业委员会主任、广东省林业产业协会专家委员会委员杨民胜将在下文一一为大家释疑解惑。
