Objective To understand the demographic characteristics of men who have sex with men (MSM), the knowledge of AIDS related to AIDS and the occurrence of sexual behavior. Methods Using the Internet to recruit MSM population as the research object, carry out the network questionnaire survey and get the knowledge and safety behavior of MSM population in aspects of AIDS. Results A total of 1 510 valid questionnaires were received in this survey, of which 81.59% (1 232/1 510) were in their 20s and 40s. The survey showed that the awareness rate of HIV / AIDS prevention and treatment was 87.62% (1 323/1 510). Among them, the lowest awareness of junior middle school and below education was 74.36% (116/156) and the highest level was college education or above with 91.03% 792/870). According to the survey, 20.40% (308/1 510) thought they were bisexual, and 49.47% (747/1 510) of them insisted on using condoms in the last 6 months when they intervened in the same sex. The proportion of people who never used condoms was 5.50% (83/1 510). Conclusion The population of MSM in Dongguan is mainly young and middle-aged. The knowledge of HIV / AIDS prevention and treatment in Dongguan MSM is generally high, but there is a difference in knowledge about MSM among different qualifications and the separation of knowledge and practice is more serious. It is suggested that psychological intervention should be carried out in MSM To enhance self-identity. On the basis of traditional on-the-spot interventions, MSM’s AIDS prevention and treatment knowledge level can be improved in combination with network intervention to reduce high-risk behaviors and promote the detection of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) antibody.
