“柔和法则”集中地体现了斯蒂夫特对整体、对神性、对一个有序的自然和社 会的信念和向往,反映了他对无限和形而上的追求,同时也是斯蒂夫特文学创作的轴心。这一 “法则”与德国启蒙主义思想家的理想一脉相承。然而斯蒂夫特的创作虽以启蒙运动思想为导 向,但他的作品却大量使用象征的手法、以其特有的语言在不经意间记录了启蒙主义时代理想 的破灭。从这个意义上来说,斯蒂夫特的作品有其现代性。
“Soft law ” reflects Stevens’s faith and longing for the whole, the divine nature and an orderly nature and society, reflecting his infinite and metaphysical pursuit, and also Stevens Axis of literary creation. This “law” is in keeping with the ideals of German enlightenment thinkers. However, although Steven’s creation was guided by Enlightenment’s thought, his works extensively used symbolic techniques to inadvertently record the destruction of the ideal of the Enlightenment era in his own unique language. In this sense, Steve’s works have their own modernity.
