电子邮件是校园网服务中最主要的应用之一,其稳定性和灵活性对于校园网服务质量有着重要的影响。本文针对提高电子邮件系统的稳定性,增加邮件系统的灵活性,提出了基于负载均衡的多邮件网关/多邮件传输代理(Multi-MailGateway&Multi-MTA)的系统架构,使邮件系统具有较好的可扩展性,能支持大规模的并发访问,保证邮件系统7×24小时的连续稳定运行。该系统已在北京大学校园网上实际运行,取得了较好效果。
E-mail is one of the most important applications of campus network services, and its stability and flexibility have an important impact on the quality of campus network services. In order to improve the stability of e-mail system and increase the flexibility of e-mail system, this paper proposes a system architecture of multi-mail gateway / multi-mast based on load balancing so that the e-mail system has good Scalability, can support large-scale concurrent access to ensure that the mail system 7 × 24 hours of continuous and stable operation. The system has been in Peking University campus online actual operation, and achieved good results.
