据国际航运公会2000年度海上安全报告,海盗活动2000年达历史新高。该报告显示,同1999年比,海盗袭击事件上升了65％,其中1/3发生在印尼海域。日益猖獗的海盗事件再度引起国际社会的严重关注,在今年2月新加坡举行的国际海事委员会(CMI)37届年会上,国际海事委员会向与会各国代表推荐《关于海盗和海上暴力行为的示范国内法》,以促请各国立法机构尽快制定相关法律,加大对海盗等危害海上安全行为的打击力度。 According to the 2000 International Maritime Safety Report on Maritime Safety, piracy has reached a record high in 2000. The report shows that compared with 1999, piracy attacks increased by 65%, of which 1/3 occurred in the Indonesian waters. The rampant piracy incident once again aroused the grave concern of the international community. At the 37th annual meeting of the International Maritime Committee (CMI) held in Singapore in February this year, the Comintern commended the representatives of all countries participating in the conference on “Demonstration of domestic and international violence against pirates and the sea Act ”to urge legislative bodies of all countries to make relevant laws as soon as possible so as to intensify the crackdown on piracy and other acts endangering maritime safety.
