由湖南省机械厅和国防工办联合召开的AG2陶瓷刀鉴定会于84年5月8～11日在湖南省韶山召开。参加会议的有湖南省和其它省市的代表共80多人。由中南矿冶学院研制成功并转让湖南冷水江市陶瓷工具厂定点生产的AG2陶瓷片(具)有良好的耐磨性、红硬性、化学稳定性和抗冲击韧性,特别适用于加工淬火钢,高强度钢、冷硬铸铁等材料,是一种通用性较好的陶瓷刀具材料。鉴定会认为:这种陶瓷刀具材料的性能达到了国内先进水平;新产品试制是成功的,同意批量生产。会后,在国营江南机器厂观看了AG2陶瓷刀切削技术表演并进行了技术交流。
