Rapid liquid chromatography has made significant headway in recent years. The authors believe that this approach will soon be rolled out in modern analytical laboratories. In this paper, two examples are given to illustrate the separation and determination of active ingredients in pharmaceuticals using a self-made, low pressure (40 atmosphere) liquid chromatograph. Method: In this system, the low-pressure pump consists of a metal cylinder (61 cm high and 3.8 cm in diameter) to elute 450 to 500 ml of solvent and withstand a pressure of 50 atm. One end of the pump is connected to a pressure cylinder (helium) and the other end to the column. The column and tubing (between the cylinder and the pump and between the pump and the column) are special
