Recently, some people in the United States have spread a harmful theory of “end of science.” The long article by the United States earth scientist Black has published long essays refuting this fallacy as follows: A group of eager scientists led by science journalist John Hogan want us to believe that the end of science is at hand. According to its theory, it will not take long before all major laws of nature have been deduced and everything of significance in nature will be clarified. “There are only so many things to discover, and every discovery brings us closer to the end.” This is nonsense! This dismissive remark ignores the nature of the scientific process and the nature of the answer. The key to understanding why science is an endless area is not to classify what is known but to admit that there are still a great deal of unknown problems. These issues are driving basic science research and making
