1965年5月,毛泽东在湖南省委九所三号楼的住处,召见了北京来的五个大秀才,他们是:陈伯达、艾思奇、胡绳、田家英、关锋。这五个人,全是笔杆子,而且是当时中共党内的大笔杆子。毛泽东把五个大秀才找到长沙来,是为了落实1963年他提出的一项工作:在全党布置学习《共产党宣言》《国家与革命》等六本马列经典著作。他这一次找五大秀才来,是想建议他们为这六本马列经典著作的中文版写好序言。六篇序言,一人一篇,毛泽东自告奋勇,要为《共产党宣言》写序。
In May 1965, Mao Zedong summoned the five big talents Beijing came from the residence of No.3 Building in Hunan Provincial Party Committee. They were: Chen Boda, Ai Siqi, Hu Sheng, Tian Jiaying and Guan Feng. These five people were all pen pens and were the great pillars within the CCP. Mao Zedong found Changsha in five big shows in order to implement the one work he proposed in 1963: arranging the study of the “Marxist Manifesto” and “the state and the revolution” in the entire Party with six classics of Marxism-Leninism. This time he came to find the top five scholar to suggest that they write a preface to the Chinese version of these six Marxist-Leninist books. Six prefaces, one for each one, Mao Zedong volunteered to write the preface to the “Communist Manifesto.”
