Last year, the first Congressional Maker Faire was co-hosted by the American Museum and Library Services Association (IMLS) and the U.S. Congressional Maker Core Group, Maker Nation, Maker Media and others. The event included a series of panel discussions to showcase the many Maker Achievements to the general public, including parliament members. The event, along with the guest-building activity at Columbia University and the White House’s National Maker Week, shows the United States has attached increasing importance to the Maker-Driven Movement and its influence on American society has also become increasingly prominent.
