If you compare a newspaper to a store, its front page is like a “showcase.” Front page layout must be vivid, lively, must be beautiful, in order to attract “customers” - readers. From the perspective of the editorial department’s work, the front page is a manifestation of the collective wisdom of the editorial department, which concentrates on the essence of the news of the day. News reform, not only includes the reform of news writing, but also should include the reform of layout, especially the front page layout reform. The front page format was better arranged in the English and French newspapers that the author contacted, and it is the International Herald Tribune that is more informative to us. This is an English-language daily newspaper jointly published by The New York Times and The Washington Post in Paris. It is mainly intended for Americans living, working and traveling in Europe to read. The International Herald Tribune often publishes editorials, commentary and important reports in The New York Times and the Washington Post, as well as writing news about the needs of overseas Americans and arranging layouts based on their tastes.
